Managing Director
Georges T. Roos


Georges is the founder and managing director of the European Futurists Conference Lucerne. He also founded ROOS Office for Cultural Innovation, a private futures studies institute. He recently published his value change scenarios for the next 20 years in SWISSFUTURE - Swiss Society for Futures Studies. Since 2000 he has often spoken on megatrends and foresights for companies, public administrations and NGO’s. He has been a strategic consultant for numerous companies, helping them to invent their future. (www.kultinno.ch)

He is member of the executive board of SWISSFUTURE – Swiss Society for Futures Studies (www.swissfuture.ch) and member of the World Future Society (www.wfs.org). Furthermore he is co-founder and member of the board of ENTERPRISE – Foundation for enterpreneurial spirit (www.enterprise-stiftung.ch) -, and member of the Unit for Economical Developement to the Executive Council of the City of Lucerne.

Georges is a graduate of the University of Zurich. From 1997-2000 he was member of the exeuctive board of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute in Rueschlikon (Zurich). He lives with his wife and their two children in Lucerne.

Head of Organisation and Administration
Claudia Willi


Claudia
is responsible for the conference's locale and sub-programme.

She is the owner and managing director of  Büro für Kongressorganisation GmbH (www.kongressorg.ch), Lucerne. She has managed successfully the inner workings of several international forums. She administrated for several years the symposium for Lucerne Festival, an internationally reputated music festival  in  Lucerne.  Claudia has graduated from the University of Zurich with a masters in Language and Constitutional Law. Since 2001 she has worked for the Executive Council of the City of Lucerne as a member of the Mayor's office where she is responsible for Lucerne's international relations. She conceives, coordinates and leads various projects for Lucerne’s Sister Cities with a main focus on urban and economic development, cultural as well as educational affairs.

Financial Director
Philipp Arnold


Philipp Arnold is the financial director of the European Futurists Conference Lucerne and the treasurer of the parent body of the European Futurists Conference Lucerne.

 

As an employee of Messe Luzern AG, he is responsible for finance and accounting. He is also the manager of all of its mandates including LUGA, the biggest public fair in Central Switzerland (Luga) with about 120000 visitors per year, and the Federal Music Festival 2006 Lucerne, which will be the nations main event in this branch of music.

 

He graduated with a federal degree in Accounting and Controlling in Zurich. He lives near Lucerne.

Host of the Advisory Board
Martin Lehman-Chadha

 

Martin Lehman-Chadha will serve as a host of the European Futurists Conference Lucerne for the members of the Advisory Board.

 

He has been working as a research associate and project manager at Empa’s Technology and Society Laboratory (www.empa.ch/tsl) for a little over a year. The Lab carries out research on the impact of upcoming technologies on environment and society with a strong focus on future perspectives. Martin has gained expertise in Life Cycle Assessment and its methodology.

 

Between 1998 and 2002, Martin worked at the Finland Futures Research Centre in Turku, Finland. There, he was in charge of organising a number of international scientific conferences in futures studies.

 

Martin is a graduate of the University of Zurich. He lives in Bertschikon (Gossau ZH) near Zurich with his wife and two daughters. His family are members of the Swiss Association of the Friends of Finland (www.svff.ch).
